BIO
After extensive study, Wendy Collins
began her professional art career doing portraits on Cape Cod
and at Little Bay Beach Hotel on St. Maarten in the 1970's. She
was elected to membership in the Pastel Society of America and
the Salmagundi Club in New York.
Wendy Collins now lives a quiet life
and paints as an American "Ex-pat" on the island of
St. Eustatius in the Dutch Caribbean. She is also active on the
Board of the St. Eustatius Historical Fd.
In 1993, her work was included in the
three-year Carib Art Traveling Exhibition. She had three one-woman
shows on the island of Saba's Breadfruit Gallery, and has taught
there. Reproductions of her work can be purchased at the St. Eustatius
Tourist Office and The Gallery on the Bay on St. Eustatius, N.A.,
and at New London Gallery, New London, N.H. in the USA. Recently,
over 100 people attended the opening of her exhibition at the
St. Eustatius Tourist Office. Sales were brisk.
Her paintings are in many collections
in the US, the Caribbean, and in Europe.
